Did you ever have a great idea for a movie, maybe about your family or you had a great idea that you think would make a great movie, but you just do not know where to start. You are not alone most people do too.
The first challenge is how to put it on paper, how to write the screenplay. Well today you are going to learn the basic steps putting you on the road to becoming a movie writer. I am going to give you the basic steps to writing but to make a good script really great, you may want to contact a professional movie and screen play writer.
They can provide consulting services, may assess your script, they can co-write the script with you or they can write the script for you. They can show you how to write a script or do it for you from the begining to the end.
To get started you need some thick pencils and a notepad or screen writing software.
Screenplay – The Fade In
The fade in is the beginning of your script, it is not required every single time but it is recommended for all the different scripts. So what you want to do is open a
blank template, using your screen writing software. It is going to be justified completely to the left just like it is an action script.
So with your complete 1005 blank screen, just go ahead and type the words all in caps ‘FADE IN’, then a colon : followed by one press of the ‘ENTER’ button. Just like that you have started your first scene.
FADE IN :
This is actually your fade from black to start the movie completely, and ofcourse at the end of the movie you are going to do a fade out.
So this is your fade in, again from the top same font size, same everything justified completely to the left just like it is an action script. Just like that you have started your first script.
